St. Nicholas Old Church (lost)
Old plans of Bucharest mark here, east of Piața Unirii, a church called Sfântul Nicolae-Vechi (Old St. Nicholas), which no longer exists. The neighborhood around it was almost entirely demolished in the 1980s, when Unirii Boulevard and the Civic Center were laid out.
