Suțu Palace
Suțu Palace was built between 1833 and 1835 for the postelnic Costache Gr. Suțu; the Neo-Gothic design is by the Viennese architects Conrad Schwink and Johann Veit. Around 1862 the interior was extensively transformed by the sculptor Karl Storck, who added a monumental staircase with two flights, reflected in a huge mirror brought from Murano. The building, a historic monument, today houses the Bucharest Municipality Museum.
