Sissi Stefanidi Spring
The Sissi Stefanidi Spring, in Cișmigiu Park, is a sculpture in Bașchioi stone by Ion Dimitriu-Bârlad, installed in 1927. It depicts a grieving mother pouring water from a jug, in memory of the Stefanidi family's daughter, Sissi, who died at the age of 21. The land on which the fountain stands had belonged to the family, who donated it to the City Hall for the laying out of the New Garden. The work is listed as a historic monument.
