Lost church · 1683–1685; demolat în 1882

Șerban Vodă Inn Church (lost)

This point lies within the precinct of the former Șerban Vodă Inn, built by Prince Șerban Cantacuzino in the 1680s and opened in 1685, which had a chapel in its courtyard. Administered by Cotroceni Monastery, the inn was for a long time the most important in Bucharest: it had thick, fortress-like walls and housed shops, cellars, storerooms and lodgings for merchants. Abandoned after 1850, it was demolished in 1882, and the Palace of the National Bank of Romania was built on its site.
