Precupeții Noi Church
On the site of today's church, the market trader (precupeț) Constantin Miulescu built a wooden church in 1713, and the founder's trade gave it the name Precupeții Noi; a cemetery also grew up around it. Around 1814, the butcher Bârcă, helped by other parishioners, replaced it with a masonry church, which was lengthened in 1865, when it also received a new iconostasis. It was repainted in 1893 by Anton Serafim, and the murals were restored in 1968 by Olga Greceanu. It is dedicated to the Dormition of the Mother of God and St. Nicholas and stands on General Ernest Broșteanu Street.
