Elie Radu House
The Elie Radu House, at the corner of Icoanei and Alexandru Donici streets, was built between 1894 and 1898 in the Neo-Romanian style, to plans by the architect Giulio Magni. The interiors were decorated with murals: the medallions depicting the seasons are attributed to George Demetrescu Mirea, while the rest were painted by Italian artists. The owner, the engineer Elie Radu (1853–1931), was a builder of bridges and roads, a professor and an academician. Today the building houses a bistro.
