State Monopolies Palace
The State Monopolies Palace, on Calea Victoriei, was built between 1934 and 1941 to plans by the architect Duiliu Marcu, as the headquarters of the Autonomous Administration of State Monopolies, also known as the Regia Monopolurilor. In the communist years the State Planning Committee worked here, and after 1990 the building was called the Palace of the Ministry of Industries. Until 2004 it housed the Ministry of Economy.
