Marmorosch Blank Bank Palace

The headquarters of the Marmorosch Blank Bank, on Doamnei Street, was designed by Petre Antonescu and built between 1915 and 1923 in a Neo-Romanian style that combines Byzantine, Gothic and Moldavian influences. The interior was decorated by the painter Cecilia Cuțescu-Storck. After the bank went bankrupt in 1931, the building passed to the Romanian state; in the communist period it was used by the National Bank and then by an enterprise of the Communist Party. In 2018 it was bought by a hotel group.
