The Workers Statues
The two bronze statues, the work of the sculptor Ion Jalea (1887–1983), depict two athletic young workers, life-size and bare-chested. They flank the main entrance of the Comic Opera for Children, the former theater near Giulești Stadium, at 16 Calea Giulești, close to the Grant Bridge. Each statue stands on a rectangular stone plinth about half a meter high, and the ensemble is listed as a historic monument.
